| personal info: | Whilst the Shanghai science park development (half owned by Zijiang) has been gathering steam, Zijiang this year has been expanding its plastic packaging and bottling factories to Shenyang, Ningbo and Nanjing. With sales for the last four years of over US$1 billion, Zijiang has 12,000 employees. Shen started out in 1983 with a plastics workshop, international trade and printing amongst others, before importing in 1988 a US$1 million printing and packaging line. An early mover into Shanghai real estate, Zijiang today owns a five-star hotel and is currently developing a residential project. Shen is a delegate to the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. |
