Other products include female hygiene and skincare brands. With sales flat last year for the second year running at US$240 million and paying taxes of US$24 million, C-Bons has 20,000 employees. Liang worked in a chemical factory and as a miner, before making his way to HK in 1982. Winning his first break trading sandalwood, he set up a beauty parlour business in Wuhan in 1989, moving up the chain to health products in 1997 and shampoo soon after. Last year, C-Bons started diversifying into Wuhan real estate development. Liang is a delegate to the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. |
