(28 October 2016, Beijing) The Hurun Research Institute and Visas Consulting Group today jointly published a 28-page report on Immigration and the Chinese HNWI 2016. This report highlights the trends arising from this often controversial topic, featuring a bespoke index on the Most Suitable Countries for Emigration and a bespoke list of the Preferred Cities to Buy Houses and Emigrate to. The report draws on a survey of around 300 Chinese high net worth individuals (HNWIs), carried out between August and October 2016, with average wealth of 27 million yuan, who have either emigrated or considered emigrating. This is the third year of the report. A Chinese high net worth is defined as a family with net wealth of 10 million CNY, equivalent to US$1.5 million.
(13 October 2016, Forest City, Malaysia) The Hurun Research Institute today released the Hurun Rich List 2016 in association with Forest City. This is the 18th annual ranking of the richest individuals in China. Wealth calculations are a snapshot of 15 August, the same date as previous years.

(19 July 2016, Shanghai) Hurun Research Institute today release the Luxury Consumer Price Index 2016. This is the tenth consecutive year Hurun Research Institute released the LCPI. The Luxury CPI is an alternative index, measuring the change over one year in the prices paid by luxury consumers for a basket of 124 luxury goods and services, up by 18 and separated under 11 broader categories including properties, health, education, travel, weddings, watches and jewelry, accessories and skincare, jets and yachts, leisure, high-end alcohol and tobacco, automobiles, comparing their market price this June to their market price last June.

Donations were measured by the value of their cash or cash equivalent from 1 April 2015 to 31 March 2016, and including significant donations up to today. 2016 is the third consecutive year of the list. This press release focuses on the Non-Mainland Chinese, with high-level comparatives with their Mainland counterparts.
