(22 March 2017, Dubai) Hurun Report today released the Hurun Gulf Self-Made Billionaires 2017, a ranking of the richest individuals from the Gulf States of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. This is the first year of the ranking and is a sublist of the Hurun Global Rich List, released on 7 March.
(21 March 2017, Beijing, China) Hurun Report and Wailian Group today released the Hurun Immigrant Billionaires List 2017, a ranking of the immigrant billionaires from around the world. The Hurun team of researchers extensively went through the Hurun Global Rich List 2017, pulling out all first generation immigrants, those who reside today in a country different to where they were born and/or brought up. This is the first year of the list and is a sublist of the Hurun Global Rich List 2017 series, released on 7 March. Hoogewerf said, “We believe this to be the first serious attempt to track the immigration status of the world’s billionaires.”
(10 March 2017, Shanghai) The Hurun Research Institute, in association with Artron, today launched the Hurun Art List 2017, a ranking of the top 100 Chinese artists alive today based on the sales of their works at public auction in the year ending 31 December 2016. Artron, China’s largest compiler of art statistics, provided the data. This is the consecutive tenth year of the Hurun Art List.

This is the thirteenth consecutive year Hurun Research has revealed the brand preferences, consumption habits and lifestyle trends of China’s wealthiest individuals. Widely regarded as an ISO9000 for China’s luxury sector, the CLCS has become a benchmark for the luxury sector.
(28 October 2016, Beijing) The Hurun Research Institute and Visas Consulting Group today jointly published a 28-page report on Immigration and the Chinese HNWI 2016. This report highlights the trends arising from this often controversial topic, featuring a bespoke index on the Most Suitable Countries for Emigration and a bespoke list of the Preferred Cities to Buy Houses and Emigrate to. The report draws on a survey of around 300 Chinese high net worth individuals (HNWIs), carried out between August and October 2016, with average wealth of 27 million yuan, who have either emigrated or considered emigrating. This is the third year of the report. A Chinese high net worth is defined as a family with net wealth of 10 million CNY, equivalent to US$1.5 million.
