A Decade of Influencing the Spending of China’s Wealthiest
Hurun Report is celebrating the anniversary of its tenth annual China Rich List
with a four-day event in Shanghai. Over the past decade, the Hurun Rich List has
had a significant impact on China’s attitude to wealth. Today the image of
wealth in China is at its most positive for a generation, especially so since
China this autumn will also be celebrating the thirtieth anniversary of the Open
Door Policy.
Day One (Thurs, Oct 23) will feature the Launch Party for China’s fashionata and
media. The Hurun Entrepreneurs’ Summit takes place on Day Two (Fri, Oct 24),
attended by international business leaders and 200 individuals from the 2008
Rich List, followed by a gala dinner. Days Three and Four will be spent watching
the Cartier International Polo and Royal Salute Polo Gold Cup Tournament.
Press Launch and Launch Party
Hosting 150 domestic and international journalists at the press launch and 300
fashionatas and celebrities at the launch party, the opening day of the
celebrations will include cocktails and refreshments, dinner and the opening of
the Hurun Art Exhibition.
Entrepreneurs’ Summit and Summit Gala Dinner
The focal point of the celebrations, the Entrepreneurs’ Summit will host 500
guests made up of international business leaders, 200 individuals from the China
Rich List and senior government officials. Influential speakers will talk on a
number of topics including the thirtieth anniversary of the Open Door Policy,
Corporate Social Responsibility, building a brand, development of the finance
sector, development of the middle-class and the next ten years of the private
sector. The day will conclude with the Hurun Ten-Year Awards to be presented at
a gala dinner to the ten most influential players of China’s private sector over
the past decade.
Polo Lifestyle
As the Official Media Partner of the Cartier International and Royal Salute Polo
Gold Cup, Hurun Report will be taking its guests from the previous two days to
enjoy the polo.
