The Hurun Research Institute today in association with the Guangzhou City Commercial Bureau and High Technology Industry District released the Global Unicorn Index 2021, a ranking of the world’s start-ups founded in the 2000s, worth at least a billion dollars and not yet listed on a public exchange. The cut-off date used was 30 November 2021. Hurun Research has been tracking unicorns in China since 2017 and the world since 2019.
