Eton College 

There is only one Eton College. Located on the River Thames, Eton was founded in 1440 and has since educated a diverse range of celebrated figures from government to business, military, sports and royalty, including both Prince William and Prince Harry. Eton is one of the highest ranked schools in the UK and its facilities are of such exceptional calibre that the school was invited to play host to rowing during the 2012 Olympics.

Eton Summer Course 

Eton College hosted their first ever group of Chinese students in 2005, in cooperation with BE Education. Eton has since hosted top Chinese students to live and learn at their Summer Course for ten years. Students are invited to attend the Eton Summer Course based on an exam and an interview testing their level of English, academic ability and personality. The course takes place over a two-week period and aims to not only improve students’ level of British English and pronunciation, but also their knowledge of British culture and their self-confidence.

Curriculum


English academic courses 

Intensive English academic courses that include British literature, history, and current affairs, all featuring comprehensive, in-depth discussion to develop students’ critical thinking skills and improve their abilities to express themselves.


■ English Class

Small classes with a teacher-student ratio of 1:5 to ensure individualized attention

■ Seminar

Students learn about their famous minds and human geography by learning about different UK-related topics, while at the same time playing their own imagination, stimulating interest in learning, and exercising their ability to talk about their views. 

■ History Class 

Historical and cultural sites at the heart of British culture like the British Museum, Hampton Court Palace, Windsor Castle, and the history of the Queen and the British royal family

■ English etiquette

English basic etiquette education permeates daily life. For example, the teacher will guide students to learn English table etiquette every day.

■ Drama

Tutelage under a professional drama teacher in writing, directing, and performing in a student-run drama production, with ample opportunity for practicing English and public speaking

■ Lectures

The lectures cover all aspects of British culture, such as public welfare, arts, music, English courses, etc. Students will have full access to British culture and the opportunity to meet successful people in the industry. 

■ Sports

Access to Eton’s sports gymnasium and Olympic-grade rowing facilities for a rich variety of Eton’s best sports offerings, including rowing on Dorney Lake

■ Reading and diary

Every night, students go to the school library to pick out their favorite books and write dairy.

 Making food

The Scone cake course is a special course of the Eton Summer course. This course combines the sense of smell, taste and vision, so that students can enjoy the food while participating in the process of food production.
